Do you have a secret plan to quit your 9-5 and become a digital nomad, but don’t feel entitled to it? Are you an artist disguised as an office worker, feeling miserable in your own skin? Do you want to open a bakery but your mom thinks it’s a bad idea? Or do you simply want somebody to share your everyday joys and dilemmas with to make better sense of what’s going on?
I am not there to give you the right answers. BUT!
The topics that I like digging in the most are:
For a number of years I worked as an English teacher. It was ok, I kind of liked it, yet some part of my soul was screaming ‘This is not it, my dear. It’s not!’ After my inner shift which I talk about here, my teachings started to change. I felt so inspired and in love with life that I wanted to share these feelings with my students. I got rid of the textbooks and started improvising. I became very attentive to my students’ passions, needs or shortcomings and I would try and give them what they needed the most at any given moment. From watching TED talks to reading great inspirational books together, to drawing their dream business plans, to simply rocking their boat by asking the questions they didn’t dare to ask themselves – I would go any length to make our meetings truly meaningful. Improving English skills became a sweet bonus on top of that.
I am very happy to see that my clients love the way we work. They are provided with a platform where they can safely bring any issue, bothering them, or any topic, exciting them, and we put our heads together for some miraculous alchemy. Why alchemy? Because I see right in front of my eyes wonderful transformations happening: where it was uncertainty, doubt, or fear, suddenly comes peace, clarity, and knowing. I call it MAGIC.
Though English textbooks and grammar tables had long left, we still called our meetings English lessons for the lack of a better name. However, I now feel a burning urge to do the words right and make it clear once and for all, that I no longer feel as solely an English teacher. The language I work in is still English, but the work itself is way more than just expanding one’s vocabulary or improving speaking skills. To be frank with you I don’t even care too much if you or I, for that matter, make a mistake here and there in English. What I really care about is you and your authentic journey. That’s way more Perfect to me than the Present Perfect!
I am open to challenges and new horizons, so that we can grow together. When two brave souls meet, there are no issues that they wouldn’t handle.
